Definición
Devices that employ heated elements, and sometimes infrared radiation to form an image without ink or toner, usually on specialized paper. Some types melt wax or resin from a ribbon. These are most often used for creating text in business applications such as receipts, labels, and barcodes in retail and logistics, but are also used in communications devices such as fax machines, and occasionally to create fine art imagery or objects.
