Definición

Refers to the style of ceramics from the early Goryeo period (10th–12th centuries) produced in Seo-ri, Idong-myeon in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do (province). Celadon was initially made there, but production gradually shifted to white porcelain until it became a leading center for early-Goryeo whiteware. Although the typical glaze often has a bluish tint that can resemble celadon, the clay body clearly distinguishes it. Seo-ri whiteware shares vessel types and forms with contemporaneous celadon, but is notable for large ritual vessels such as those known as "bo" and “gwe”.
