Definición

Refers to a well-known style of Joseon-era buncheong sagi (buncheong ware) characterized by dense stamped designs inlaid with white slip. Technically a type of inlay, it differs from Goryeo-era sanggam cheongja (inlaid celadon) in the greater density of motifs, resulting in larger areas of white contrast. Commonly used for tribute wares produced at state-run ceramic manufactories, some examples bear inscriptions of government offices or place names that indicate their period, place of production, and place of use. This style was actively produced in the 15th century.
