Definición
Refers to a buncheong style popular from the latter half of the 15th to the first half of the 16th century during the Joseon period, characterized by dipping vessels into white slip to coat their surfaces. The term "deombeong" is Korean onomatopoeia representing the heavy sound of an object plunging into water. Emerging relatively late along with the guiyal style, it typically left the foot uncoated since vessels were held by the base during dipping. However, some fully coated examples were also produced, notably at Undae-ri in Goheung, Jeollanam-do (province).
