Definición

Refers to a ceramic style produced at the kilns in Doma-ri in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do (province), one of the official court kilns of the first half of the Joseon Dynasty. A diverse range of wares were created, including wares bearing inscriptions such as “eulchuk” (denoting the year 1505), white porcelain bearing standard marks of the court kilns from the first half of the Joseon Dynasty corresponding to the Chinese characters denoting heaven, earth, black, and yellow, along with blue-and-white porcelain , inlaid white porcelain, inlaid celadon, and Joseon celadon. In particular, high-quality white ware with cobalt underglaze decoration noted for its deep, dark cobalt tones were produced there. Vessels related to liquor, including cups and small dishes used as stands for the cups were also produced.
