Definición
Refers to a type of climbing kiln constructed with packed earth. Ground on sloped terrain was excavated and a firing chamber with an arched roof was built with walls of earth and stone. On the Korean Peninsula, this type of kiln first appeared among early celadon kilns in the southwestern during the 10th and 11th centuries and gradually spread nationwide. They were generally small, measuring about 10 to 20 meters long, though they varied by region and period.
