Refers to a type of vessel designed to hold thin sticks of incense for burning. They typically have a small hole to keep the incense upright and are generally of small size. Incense holders were produced in a wide variety of forms, including characters, animals, architectural motifs, and everyday objects, serving decorative functions in addition to their practical role. In some cases, a dish was attached at the base to catch falling ashes and provide stability.
