Definición
A mass deacidification process introduced by Preservation Technologies, Inc. (PTI) in 1993. It uses special equipment to deposit (usually by spraying) the deacidificant into books. The deacidificant is a suspension of colloidal magnesium oxide in an inert carrier with a surfactant (perfluorohexane and perfluoropolyoxyetheralkanoic acid, respectively).
