Definición
A polymer of acrylic acid. Polyacrylic acid is an acrylic resin and is generally used as a sizing agent in the manufacture of nylon. In cultural heritage conservation, it has been used as gelling agents for cleaning gels and in material consolidation. The brand name, Carbopol, is an example of a polyacrylic acid product. It is distinct to polyacrylate, another polymer of acrylic acid, in terms of its chemical structure and pH level.
