Refers to a ceramic style produced from the late 19th to first half of the 20th century in Haeju, Hwanghae-do (province). Now part of South Hwanghae (Hwanghaenam-do) in North Korea, Haeju served as the administrative center of Hwanghae-do during the Joseon Dynasty. The large white porcelain vessels called Haeju white porcelain or Haeju jars were often formed using methods similar to onggi production. They were decorated with various motifs, primarily in cobalt blue, but they also featured iron-painted designs. The motifs were mainly floral and fish designs, although birds, buildings, and other patterns also appeared. Some Haeju white porcelain produced in the modern period included additional green designs using chromium pigment. While generally called Haeju ware, similar white porcelain was also made in neighboring Bongsan-gun and Suan-gun counties, as well as parts of South Pyongan (Pyongannam-do).

Refers to the style of ceramics of the Goryeo Dynasty produced in the Haenam region of Jeollanam-do (province) between the 10th and 12th centuries. Celadon of this type was primarily produced in the areas of Jinsan-ri and Sindeok-ri, alongside porcelaneous wares retaining traits from earlier ceramic traditions. Generally of lower quality than contemporaneous wares from Gangjin, Buan, or the central-western region, they are characterized by coarse clay bodies and greenish-yellow glazes. Inlay was not employed, but bold iron-painted decoration was applied to pieces such as bottles and hourglass-shaped drums.

Se refiere al arte y arquitectura asociados a los gobernadores islámicos Hafsida de Túnez, quienes fueron uno de los cuatro poderes regionales que emergieron en Maghrib después del colapso del imperio Almohade en 1212. Los Hafsida gobernaron en el área este del África del Norte. Centros importantes fueron las ciudades costeras de Túnez, Sousse y Sfax. La cultura Hafsida es un encuentro entre el este y el oeste: mucho refugiados españoles de la región trajeron sus tradiciones artísticas consigo y los Hafsida asimismo mantuvieron relaciones cercanas con los Mameluco de Egipto. Los Hafsida fueron los responsables de introducir madrasa (lugares de estudio) en Maghrib, de los que se construyeron muchos, así como numerosas mezquitas. Los Hafsida, quienes se consideraban a sí mimos como defensores de la fe islámica, encargaron una gran cantidad de valiosos manuscritos religiosos.

Meaning “seven colors”, a term used to describe a technique of painting on glazed tiles to create tile-work crafts that can be found in ornaments of many architectures and shrines of Iran and can be traced back to the Seljuk dynasty. It features black lines that delineate the tiles' design. The high maturing temperature of this line prevented the low-temperature coloured glazes run together during the firing.
