En arquitectura, el período puede ser dividido en tres subperíodos: Del siglo VII al IX, el período retorna al período pre-Angkoreano Khmer y presenta construcción de ladrillo, torres cuadradas, santuarios con redans y pilastras en las esquina, sistemas de tejado de bóvedas de viga voladiza,, y bases modeladas con entradas en el lado oriental y puertas falsas en los tres lados restantes.
