Various techniques were employed, including stamping, sgraffito, incising, and slip brushing, but âinhwa buncheong”, buncheong sagi decorated with stamped designs, is the most typical. By the late 15th century âguiyal buncheong”, slip-brushed buncheong, was being produced in large quantities, and white porcelain wares began to appear alongside the buncheong. A wide range of vessel types was manufactured, from bowls, cups, and dishes for dining to ritual vessels and epitaph tablets. Vessels for use in government offices in Hanyang and Gwangju bearing inscriptions and the names of potters were also produced.
