Refers to a well-known style of Joseon-era buncheong sagi (buncheong ware) characterized by dense stamped designs inlaid with white slip. Commonly used for tribute wares produced at state-run ceramic manufactories, some examples bear inscriptions of government offices or place names that indicate their period, place of production, and place of use. This style was actively produced in the 15th century.

Chinese script that is a simplified stylization of clerical script; the clerical script was transformed into a more fluent and easily written form. Characterized by clear-cut corners and straight strokes of varying thickness, this script emerged by the end of the Han Dynasty, and became popular during the Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern periods. It underwent its most vital period of development and was the most important type of script during the Tang dynasty (618-907), when a successful career in the civil service depended in part on skill as a calligrapher. It remains the standard script in use today and the model for public function and printed type.

Naturally occuring as tinstone or cassiterite, stannic oxide is the principal ore of tin. It can be artificially obtained as an anhydrous powder when tin is burned in the presence of oxygen, or by igniting stannous hydrate or stannous oxalate. Stannic oxide is used in the manufacture of white glazes and enamels, and as an opacifier. In its pure state is white or light yellow in color.
